LyTec® Mechanism

LyTec® technology is based on the infrastructure of electroluminescent (abbreviated as EL), is formed by a thin copper wire coated in a phosphor which glows when an alternating current is applied to it. Electroluminescent is an optical phenomenon and electrical phenomenon in which a material emits light in response to the passage of an electric current or to a strong electric field.

LyTec® construction consists of seven major components;

1. Core wire - solid cooper wire

2. Dielectric layer

3. Phosphor layer

4. Transparent conductive layer

5. Spiral wire

6. First protective layer (HDPE or PVDF)

7. Second protective layer (PVC or PVDF)

The General Grade LyTec® was primarily designed for various indoor applications - indoor signage, decorations, car decorations. With its soft physical feature it maintains a high flexibility for DIY purposes.

The Advance Grade LyTec® was primarily designed for various outdoor applications - outdoor signage, events decorations, apparels. With the mechanical enhancement and increase in sizes, it is easier for installation and increase the presence of LyTec®.

The Professional Grade LyTec® was primarily designed for various safety and emergency applications.

The “MR” series are dedicated to operate under humidity environments, which has constructed with high humidity resistance polymer to enhance its durability under this circumstances.

The “WN” series are dedicated for evacuation guiding applications, which require long lengths in operations. Besides having the same features of MR series, the WN series has enhanced its mechanical structure for higher requirement.

The “LR” series are dedicated for evacuation guiding applications under harsh, humid environment with anti-impact shock performance. With its superior mechanical strength and performance it has been often used by government officials for various environmental and life savings operations.
